For people that have visited before, you might have noticed that we now are using only 2 different category types for our calls. You might also have noticed that we have added sub-types. This allows us to keep better track of the different types of calls that we have had. Below cover the two general categories we use: EMS/Rescue:
This category is made up of 3 items, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Rescue calls and Non-Emergency Medical Services.
1. EMS calls are exactly that, requests for medical assistance. This can vary from cardiac arrest to a car wreck or even a non-emergency transport.
2. Rescue calls can be where medical assistance can be required, but primary goal would be to victim out of harms way. This can be a water rescue, cliff rescue, or any other type of special tech rescue.
2. Non-Emergency Medical Services range from the transporting of a person to another hospital, home, or to an aircraft for travel outside of county or even state.
Fire/Hazmat:
This category is also made up of two items.
1. Fire calls are just that, a request to put out a fire. As most calls, this can require medical assistance to help people who were in harms way.
2. Hazmat meaning Hazardous Materials. This can range from a leak of a few gallons of gasoline at a gas station to an 18 wheeler transporting 10,000 gallons of gasoline tipping over, and many other items.
